Personal Compact Dosimeters PM1604A and PM1604B

The PM1604A and PM1604B models by Pollimaster are energy efficient personal dosimeters. The pocket size tool is capable for accurate measurement of personal dose equivalent Hp(10) and personal dose equivalent rate Hp(10) of both gamma and X-ray radiation.

Experts consider pocket dosimeters to be an imperative device for professionals who bear potential risk of exposure to radioactive materials.

The PM1604A and PM1604B perform the following functions:

• Monitoring and measurement of the ambient dose equivalent and ambient dose equivalent rate across wide energy range: from the natural background level up to 5-10 Sv/h (500-1000 R/h);
   
• Alerting the user through an audible alarm when the preset dose and/or dose rate thresholds are exceeded;
   
• Recording and storing data for up to 1000 events in their non-volatile memory;
   
• Transmitting all recorded data via an infrared channel to a PC for further processing and analysis.
   

The high sensitivity device comprises of two alarm thresholds which provides added protection for users. The audible alarm instantaneously alerts the user if the preset dose and dose rate thresholds are exceeded.

The instrument is furnished with a hermetic and shockproof case for superior durability in intense environmental conditions. The LCD is illuminated with a fluorescent backlight which for effortless readability.

If the dosimeter is contaminated with radioactive dust, it can be easily cleaned with radiation decontamination solutions.
